Certain things that you should not skip out on quality: "but I can get things cheaper"

The old saying goes: "But I can get things cheaper"

As great as America has made us become price savy. Here are some things that you should really think about before skipping out on quality, on the medical side:

1. Substitutes for Wrinkle Reduction Injections (such as Botox and Fillers)

Terrible Case of a Woman injecting oil into her face

Things like these do happen, out of either lack of reason with regards to money or either obsession for looking good. The purpose of these Wrinkle Reduction injections are to make men and women look more youthful and refreshed... not over done as shown to be the typical stereotype of Botox.

2. Plastic Surgery

This is an extreme no no when it comes to risking your life (or quality of life) for a few extra bucks.

No a non licensed "surgeon" should not be operating on you.
No a surgeon should not be operating on you in your own house.
No a surgeon should not be operating on you in his house.

Things like these have to make you think smart when it comes to making huge decisions such as these. Here is a case where a few cities over where our medical spa is located:

"Cosmetic surgery at issue in deathPolice probe license of Rahway couple" Tuesday, November 27, 2007BY CARLY ROTHMANStar-Ledger Staff

A Morganville woman died after she apparently went to a Rahway house for cosmetic surgery, police said. Police said they found Olga Arroyo, 41, unresponsive on a couch in a West Scott Avenue residence around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Arroyo was pronounced dead a short time later, Rahway Lt. Joseph Simonetti said.

"We are investigating that she possibly went there for some type of cosmetic procedure," Simonetti said. The husband and wife who live in the house were present when police arrived, Simonetti said. Al though he declined to give their names, Simonetti said police are trying to determine whether the couple is licensed to perform cosmetic surgery. Neighbors on the street said they saw police and medical responders enter a white three-story house on Wednesday. A man answering the door at the home yesterday declined to give his name or any information. Arroyo was a former Newark police officer who left on disability several years ago but returned as a secretary in the police director's office. Calls to her Monmouth County home were not answered last night. Simonetti said no visible blood, cuts or wounds were on Arroyo's body when police arrived. Police are treating the death as suspicious, he added, but no charges have been filed. When asked if unlicensed cosmetic surgery is known to be performed frequently in Rahway, he said, "It's not a common thing."

Going over Seas

Most plastic Surgeries done over seas and done incorrectly, most surgeons and hospitals/ most surgeons in the states will not take on your situation due to the liability that the over seas surgeon has caused. If you end up encountering a problem with your surgery or procedure, the best advice that we would be able to give you is confront the person/ professional that had originally created the problem. Always look into their policies on complications.

3. Tanning Oil

No not Baby oil, Olive oil, Lemon Juice nor Canola oil are good for tanning with. In fact they may cause 1st to second to third degree burns. I good food for thought is the look on your face when you are rushed to the emergency room to tell the doctor what happened to your skin, (possibly wearing a bikini).

During the Good Ole days, women would use airplane engine fuel (a terrible idea). Luckily men and women are hopefully getting smarter with some of these detrimental decisions now a days as more and more people are getting educated with the risks associated with these hazards.

If you must use tanning oil, please make sure you use sunscreen as well to prevent from burning the skin and causing numerous of other problems.
